What Happens in Vegas (2008)

What happens in Vegas, should stay in Vegas, and so should this movie. Ashton Kutcher is his usual funny self in this 2008 comedy about a couple who finds themselves married after a drunken night in Vegas, fighting over $3 million. It's man vs. woman as Cameron Diaz and her friend try and win the money (and a divorce) from a night gone awry. In the podcast, Nigel and Kaitlyn talk about the ridiculousness of the premise and how it all falls on a computer glitch, the "break up in front of a large group" trope, and the under-utilized Krysten Ritter. This 1999 film is more than a remake. It's a  muddled mess of ghosts, and murder, and CGI that is not only completely bonkers but also a lot of fun at times. This week Nigel and Kaitlyn take a deep dive into what makes this film tick, focusing on Geoffrey Rush's performance, the nonsensical relationships, and a ghost made of naked women. Nigel loved it, Kaitlyn hated it. What more needs to be said?

Here it is, the episode the world has been waiting for. Another episode of Bad Movie Date Night, this time featuring guests for the second time in a while. This week Nigel and Kaitlyn sit down with Kaitlyn's brother David and his wife Brielle. The four discuss 2007's Spider-Man 3, a film a large population of the world would probably like to forget. Tune in as David clarifies Kaitlyn's stance on feminism, Brielle discloses how much of the movie she slept through, Kaitlyn passionately defends Tobey Maguire, and Nigel makes a joke that was probably more offensive than he anticipated!
