Monday Mar 07, 2022
Monday Mar 07, 2022
We're kicking off the month of March with a St. Patrick's Day Horror classic, Leprechaun. Perhaps it is the only St. Patrick's Day Horror movie(A quick Google search shows that is not true). This week Nigel and Kaitlyn delve into the lore of the Leprechaun and decide whether this movie did a good job giving proper representation to our short Irish friends. They also discuss the start of Jennifer Aniston's career since Friends aired the year after this movie was released.

Ooof. This movie was tough to watch.
Tune in to hear Nigel and Kaitlyn struggle to find coherency in Mike Myer's comedy style, and also discuss how comedy works and why comedy seems to be so much more subjective than any other genre.

Monday Feb 21, 2022
This week, on a very special episode of Bad Movie Date Night, Nigel and Kaitlyn are talking about the recent addition/rewrite to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. In it, Nigel and Kaitlyn get deep into nostalgia and remakes and discuss whether its better to play it safe or introduce new ideas to a franchise. They also discuss how blatantly this film rips off another recent horror series addition. You won't want to miss it!
This might be the first time a brand new movie has been covered on this podcast (I didn't go back and check TBH), and the fastest turnaround for recording, so bare with us if there are any issues with the audio!
Thanks for listening!

This week Nigel and Kaitlyn are talking about Valentine's Day, Garry Marshall's first attempt to cram as many celebrities in a movie as possible with crisscrossing stories. In this case, the whole story is focused on Valentine's Day, the most magical day of the year if you're in love. In this episode, Kaitlyn plays six degrees of separation with the stories. Return to House on Haunted Hill (2007)
Sunday Feb 06, 2022
Sunday Feb 06, 2022
This episode gets a little weird. For a sequel of a film that was surprisingly enjoyable, it really does jump the shark. This episode takes a bit to get moving since there isn't a lot to talk about. At one point Nigel starts talking about the 1985 Alien ripoff, Creature. Yeah, it gets weird. But, if you're a completionist (like us) you won't want to miss this episode.

House of Wax (2005)
Monday Jan 31, 2022
Monday Jan 31, 2022
Compared to the original 1953 House of Wax, this remake is an entirely different movie. In fact, some might say it's a remake of an entirely different movie from the 1980s. You'll have to tune in to find out what movie it is. This week, Nigel and Kaitlyn dive into this remake and evaluate the location of the film, the necessity of Paris Hilton's pregnancy sub-sub-sub plot, the dualism of twins, and the logistics of building a town out of wax. Just like every week, you won't want to miss this episode!

In this episode, Nigel and Kaitlyn talk about the real-life fear Vincent Price faced, a 3D film directed by a man with one eye, and the merits of old timey courtship. This might be the best movie talked about on the podcast. You won't want to miss this!

New Year’s Eve
Sunday Jan 02, 2022
Sunday Jan 02, 2022
This week, Nigel and Kaitlyn wanted to switch things up so they opted for a New Year's Eve rom-com movie instead of something in the horror department. Is there a more perfect movie than 2011's New Year's Eve, a film that brings together more actors than there are in Hollywood to tell a story about hope and relationships on the most magical night of the year.
This episode takes a weird turn at the end when Kaitlyn brings up the topic of artistic integrity and Hollywood cash grabs. It's the perfect set up for 2022, and you won't want to miss it!
